Top Gun
Top pilot Maverick is granted a second opportunity to redeem himself after losing a buddy. He struggles to perform at his best as well as falls in love with his civilian teacher Charlie. It has something for everyone – action, romance, and even some comedy, so no matter the group you’re watching with everyone get on board. Shrek 2
Normally sequels never live up to the first movie, and Shrek would certainly be a hard one to live up to, but Shrek 2 certainly did that and more, whilst the first one was sweet, this one went to a whole new level with its animation and humour. Following on from Shrek in which Shrek rescues Fiona from a lord and she falls in love with him, Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon. Fiona’s parents, the rulers of Far Far Away, welcome them. However, because the king dislikes Shrek, he hires a fairy to keep him away from his daughter. Cast Away
FedEx executive Chuck Noland is on his way to a job in Malaysia when his plane crashes over the Pacific Ocean during a storm. Chuck, the only survivor of the airplane, washes up on a lonely island. When his attempts to sail away and call aid don’t work out, Chuck learns to live on the island, where he stays for years with only his handcrafted volleyball pal, Wilson. Cast Away has been commended for its ability to move the audience due to the bold, powerful storytelling in the movie without forcing the audience.
The Sixth Sense
Not for everyone, but certainly, for horror fans. A young boy is troubled by a frightening secret: ghosts visit him. Cole Sear is terrified of these visitors from the shadows who have unresolved issues. Except for child psychologist Dr. Malcolm Crowe, he is too terrified to tell anybody about his pain. The implications for the client and therapist are shocking and lead them both to something unfathomable as Dr. Crowe strives to learn the truth about Cole’s extraordinary capabilities.
